When God calls you higher, everyone can't go
1:52 PMWhen I first began my relationship with Christ, I started out with friends. I was raised in church, but I didn't come into a real, genuine relationship with Christ until I reached my early twenties. By this I mean, I was no longer going to church out of obligation and rule of my mother, but I was going because I desired more of Jesus. I was no longer leaning and growing from my mother's relationship, or my pastor's relationship, I was growing from my own intimate moments that I shared with Christ.
I took His word to heart, believed it, and tried it for myself. I was blown away by the faithfulness of the Father and the love He graciously bestowed upon His people. As my relationship grew, the same friends I started out with, didn't share the same drive and commitment that I had. Although we were walking together, we were actually growing apart. I didn't mind spending Friday evenings in church, nor did I mind attending weekly Bible Studies; I enjoyed it, in fact, I lived for the weekly routine. My spirit was refreshed, my faith was strengthened, and I was being made into a new creature - 2 Corinthians 5:17
Eventually, I left friends behind in my pursuit of chasing the King. No hard feelings arose, but we wanted and saw different things. Where God was taking me, they were not ready to go. The purpose and destiny that awaited me down the road, was not the same for them. What God had for me, it was for me, at that appointed time.
Everyone cannot see or go where God is taking you because God has a
place of purpose and destiny designed specifically for you. Don't be
troubled or dismayed because God has a future and an expected end to
bring you into. The thoughts and plans that God has for you, are only to manifest good in your life. God has placed vision in your spirit and will show you things that only you can see and comprehend.
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. - Jeremiah 29:11When you come into true realization of the power of God and His salvation power, you just want to do His will and yield your vessel to be used for His glory. During your walk, you may lose friends, be misunderstood, or even feel lonely, but the purpose and power that is placed on the inside of you, will raise you up and work out for your good. As you mature in Christ, you are strengthened, new friends and family are made, and your spirit will acquire such a boldness, that you will know that it could only come from God.

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
- I Corinthians 2:9
